What else do I need to provide to complete my registration?
To complete the online registration process you will need
Sunrise Little League Boundary:
Each Little League has geographic boundaries that determine where your child should play in as governed by Little League International. Our boundaries include Woodland Hills, West Hills, Canoga Park, Calabasas and Hidden Hills. You can enter your address here https://www.littleleague.org/play-little-league/league-finder/ to see our boundary.
Do we need to live within the Sunrise boundary area to have our child play at Sunrise? No
Children at the youngest level of the Little League Baseball (League Age 4-7) have the ability to register for any Little League program they choose, without respect to any geography- or school-related eligibility requirements. Those players who register under this option will also be fully eligible to participate in all aspects of league play, including International Tournament play, for the duration of their Little League careers provided they have continuous and unbroken participation within the specific league where initially registered and provided all other participation eligibility requirements have been met.
If your child is League age 8 or older and lives outside of our designated boundary, they are still welcome to play at Sunrise to be with their friends. However, please be aware that any player who lives outside the designated boundary lines, is League age 8 or older, and chooses to play at SLL will be ineligible for any postseason All-Star teams sanctioned by SLL.
If we live outside the boundaries for Sunrise but attend school within the boundaries of Sunrise can we qualify for All Star Play? Yes!
To allow schoolmates and friends to play Little League Baseball together, the residency rules have been expanded to include the location of a child's school regardless of the residence. If a family lives outside the Sunrise boundary but attends a school inside the boundary, that child meets the residency requirements to qualify for All Star play.
To verify enrollment the school enrollment form must be filled out and returned for the current academic year.
Provide 2 refundable Snack Shack checks.
What is the Snack Shack, and why do I have to submit snack shack checks?
The Snack Shack is a vital part of the Sunrise Little League experience, offering a place for players and families to grab refreshments and celebrate together during games. Beyond being a community hub, it's also crucial for our league's operations, helping us cover essential costs like our water bill and facility maintenance.
To ensure the Snack Shack remains open and fully operational throughout the season, we require every family's support. Without sufficient volunteers, we risk losing significant funds that are essential for our league.
Therefore, we are requiring each family to submit two refundable Snack Shack checks, each for $200, at evaluations. These checks should be made out to Sunrise Little League, with your child's name in the memo. Once your volunteer shifts are completed, or if you arrange for someone to complete them on your behalf, your checks will be destroyed.
Sunrise Little League is entirely volunteer-run, and the success of our program depends on the participation of every family. Your contribution to the Snack Shack is vital to our league.
- Each player registered is required to complete 2 snack shack shifts
- Each shift lasts approximately 2 ½ hours.
- Once your obligations are complete, your check will be destroyed.
- A list of teen hires will be provided. If you cannot complete your snack shack shift you can arrange for someone else to work it for you.
- Check will NOT be deposited unless you do not sign up for a shift or do not show up for your assigned shift.
